Less manual data entry and easier ways to get data and images into our systems. Better integration of various applications, a more seamless experience to entering and retrieving information, forms, criminal history, caseplans, etc.
Background
Jennifer is a U.S. Probation Officer with a specialty in mental health. She handles a larger low-med risk level caseload and travels in the field with a female partner.
Frustrations
Processes in the courts are still very paper driven and requires diligence to collect and enter data into our systems. Not having an easy way to upload photos into PACTS is a constant battle.
Motivations
Easier ways to enter data and photos into PACTS. Less hand-holding with clients on the PICTS assessment questions. Easy ways to document home contacts and other case related activities.
Challenges
Personal safety while interacting with clients during home contacts. Gear, physically, can be cumbersome, especially on hot days. Needs to be agile and mentally alert at all times.
